Capitalism : The New God

Trinity:

Individual Satisfaction - Father
Exploitation - Son
Purchasing power - Holy Spirit

10 Commandments

* I will make sure I maximise my profits at the cost of everything else
* Individual satisfaction must be 100% satisfied even if it means I cheat on my marriage, destroy my childrens lives and end up divorced
* Exploit whoever you can for whatever you can, its survival of the fittest
* You are what you can afford
* Love thy cheap goods even if you don’t know they came from a child sweat shop
* Thou shall not worship false Gods: socialism, communism, et al
* Thou shall be faithful and not lie with another man's wife unless our wife failed to deliver for a few days or I see someone else I want in the street round the corner, like the latest purchase from that tv store down the road I just had to have as it was 50 inches wide not 45 like the one I have already.
* Individual success and power are everything crush all enemies that stand in your way.
* Avoid giving money to charity it is rescuing and people should be responsible for their own problems even if they are not self inflicted or were originally caused by our neo-liberal economic and political policies.
* Lend support to wars and support dictators if there is cheap oil or cheap access to valuable resources to be gained as our country has to be the most wealthy and powerful.

New Testament Most Important of all these Commands not love thy neighbour :

Love myself and everyone else can have the breadcrumbs that fall from my table

12 Disciples – Enablers, Message Delivery Systems, Promoters

* World Bank & IMF
* Companies that exploit developing nation producers with low and unfair prices
* Advertisements that promote materialism with irresponsible marketing messages
* Pride
* Greed
* Ego
* Vanity
* Banks that don’t support and help small businesses, yet provide huge overdraft facilities to big organisations who really do not need that support .
* Lenders who throw credit cards at people that they can’t afford to have or use
* Banks that wont lend to people who actually need the money and provide the financial support they are supposed to so these people turn to loan sharks and charge huge profitable fees for bounced Direct Debits and unauthorised overdrafts.
* Politicians with delusions of grandeur that want to control the world
* Judas Iscariot – Enlightened invididuals that try to inform people (whistleblowers)

The Evil One

Devil - Socialism and anything resembling socialist systems

Lord’s Prayer

Our Individual Satisfaction

That art all over the world
Hallowed be thy buy one get one free
Thy autumn sales come, Thy supreme shopping experience be done
On earth as it is in the stores
Forgive us for missing the winter sales and we will forgive the stores for closing on Sundays
Give this day our daily buying
Lead us into cheating, sleeping around and not looking after our children
Let us not be tempted to really care about other people
Deliver us from socialism

For thine be the kingdom, the power and the glory, for as long as we practice this awful economic concept

Amen

The Truth About HIV
Written by Jill B

Origins of HIV

There are many debates on where HIV came from but here are a few articles and sources you may want to consider.  Discovering the origins of HIV are interesting for only one reason there may be a clue in how to fight it and overcome it in its war raged against humanity.  Its definitely not about blaming anyone, as it is unlikely any individual is to blame, as it was likely to be a cross-species transfer from Chimpanzees/Green Monkeys who have SIV and these were often eaten as food in the days when HIV was discovered.  Its a bit like the cross species transfer of swine-flu, chicken flus and bovine spongiform encephalopathy which you can get from eating infected beef.  The hugest problem is though that this cross-species transfer happened and now we have to deal with the effects.  Unfortunately we didn't have the medical facilities or knowledge at the time to isolate and deal with it,  as we did these recent cross-species jumps.

Ministry Becoming an Idol 2-Commericality & False Advertising
Written by Jill B

Commericality & False Advertising

Carrying on from this theme of the ministry becoming an idol, we can see that these ministries operate more like commercial entities. The main aim being getting as many sheep in the door as possible and fleecing the sheep for as much as possible once they are there.

"Come and get drunk at the Holy Spirit bar", "come and get the anointing". "Come and receive your healing and your miracle". "Come and claim your wealth".

The marketing slogans to market the gospel to appeal to the masses that desire success and an entertaining experience seem to appeal to some. It’s all a compromise to get more people in and sitting in seats and putting money into the ministry. They are compromising God’s truths for cheap marketing tactics as if these are in some way superior to the Gospel and word of God. The gospel is appealing enough without having to compromise and add lies to make it more appealing to the world. There is no need for adding anything to the word of God to make it more appealing. The bible is the most popular book in the world selling more copies than any other book. The word of God has appeal naturally; there is no need for the lying compromises and cheap marketing tactics of man to make it successful and appealing.

Building a ministry of success (by worldly measures) where quantity and materialism is paramount. If these ministries were legally only recognised as purely commercial entities, they would not be able to operate. They would be sued with claims of false advertising as they cannot control the miracles of God nor the workings of the real Holy Spirit so how can they promise such miracles to people or tell them to come and get something they do not control?

Should we expose Christian leaders who sin and hurt people in their personal life or ministry?
Written by Jill B

I have a few thoughts on this one, as its quite a complex topic.   Quite often if someone had complained early on about church leaders sinning using or hurting people, then whole ministries would not have collapsed.  When a leader of a Christian ministry sins it's a huge problem and he should really stand down, till he gets his affairs together and can fix his life, before he brings the ministry down with him.  Backsliding is not the end of the world the prodigal son was accepted back into the Lord's fold but if you are in a position of Christian leadership and living in a backslidden state that is not going to be accepted by anyone.  I would recommend if a ministry leader has sinned a cool down period of a year. In that time they should not be given any access to the ministry and should stay away, but leaders should maintain contact with them and fellowship together in order to support their return when its appropriate.

Human Rights & Animal Wrongs
Written by Jill B

Human Rights & Animal Wrongs

It was fascinating to watch the news coverage and focus on a whale that was stuck in the Thames in London. News agencies flocked to witness it and people rallied around the water as witness this rare event. In the same week a bill was passed in the United Kingdom protecting animals rights and providing them with a duty of care owed by human beings who assume guardianship over their welfare. What fascinated me though was not the whale itself as it the other people who flocked to the scene, as a result of media coverage and rather it was the attention, compassion, empathy and care that the whales plight aroused.

We already have homes for orphaned animals and sponsorship agreements for donating funds every month to care for an abused animal. We have people giving millions of pounds and dollars to the welfare of animals yet in our society and world we have millions of people who live on less than a dollar a day. Animal charities now receive more public support, than charities that support people in need and crisis.

Animals living in luxury whilst humans are suffering

Sometimes if you breeze through those luxury pet sites you will note how some animals are being lavished with a life of luxury whilst human beings are suffering and do not have access to even basic amenities in the real world. What can be justified about this, yes people can decide to spoil an animal if they wish to rather than support another human being or even child living in abject poverty. However the media must accept that it has a role to play. We know that advertising contributes to our thought processes and influences our buying decisions. Otherwise why would advertisors pay millions to advertise their products if it didn't work? Answer being it obviously does work and hence we must be careful how we tend to spend hours of expensive news coverage watching an animal and their survival when millions of children worldwide are dying daily due to the effects of poverty.

Noone is stating here that animals should be abused, no indeed household pets should not be abused or animals killed off by people until their species is in extinction. It is good to preserve an animal species for future generations to witness the existence off and for the natural beauty of the world to be preserved. Imagine however the price of dog food for a month to provide for a dog for a month costs roughly how much per month around fifteen to twenty pounds at least. Yet to provide for a child another human being living in another country in severe poverty costs  fifteen to twenty pounds a month, so they can get an education and have a better future. Should not our emphasis be on ensuring that all children have an education and food to eat in this world first and foremost before bringing animals which are meant to live in the wild into our homes, feeding them, domesticating them and providing for them and awarding them legal rights as if they are our children. Do you think if human beings were suffering at the hands of one of our animal friends our welfare woud come before that of their species?
